Kondratowicza Street in Warsaw

Ludwika Kondratowicza Street was one of the main communication arteries, connecting the districts of north-eastern Warsaw with the Center through the introduction of two stations of the II metro line. Before the reconstruction, the street, despite its multi-service nature and great potential, did not meet the needs of residents, it was a transit and undeveloped street. The redevelopment project mainly included changes in proportions, shape, reorganization of traffic, arrangement of green areas and the introduction of additional important functions along Kondratowicza Street. The project assumed the creation of a visually attractive, safe space with a lot of greenery, among which residents will be able to integrate and carry out activities typical of spending free time in the area of the house. Kondratovich Street ceased to be a transport artery, it was silenced and became a more intimate city street filled with public functions throughout its section. The narrowing of the road lanes resulted in a widening of the space for pedestrian and bicycle traffic and a slowdown and, as a result, a reduction in traffic.
