The main assumption of the concept of development of Środkowa Street is the creation of a woonerf, i.e. a pedestrian and road network with priority for pedestrians and cyclists. The starting point of the concept is to create better conditions for incubating social relationships on the street. Today Prague is one of the few places where neighborhood life takes place in public space — today mainly in the gates and inner courtyards. The extension of the area for shared use by residents to the whole street can be beneficial for further integration processes between residents, which is of particular importance due to the ongoing process of revitalization of Prague. Improving the quality of the space and image of Prague is associated with the influx of new residents who should create a single community together with the indigenous Prażans
