Revitalization of the Market Square and the Deskur Tenement House in Radom

The main objective of the project is to highlight the high historical and aesthetic values of the historic area of the Kazimierzowski Town in Radom and to introduce the necessary technical infrastructure enabling the creation of an attractive cultural and recreational program, animating the life of the market - the heart of the medieval city.

The museum building consists of a combination of two compact tenement houses, called Deskur Townhouses, which have a common inner courtyard. Reconstruction, reconstruction and extension of the underground of historic tenement houses will create a flexible spatial layout for functioning in this historic fabric, a modern, integrated museum and cultural center. An important aspect in the formation of the concept is the preservation and restoration of historically and architecturally valuable elements of the building and its surroundings. The original form of the historic buildings was restored and the original carpentry, colors and details were restored on the basis of archival materials and analogies.
