Square of Five Corners in Warsaw

Aimed at the main design is to create a well-ordered spatial arrangement of the square - friendly to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport, with a clear vehicular traffic arrangement. The popular junction of Bracka, Chmielna, Zgoda, Krucza and Szpitalna streets, for years served mainly as a vehicular traffic junction dominated by individual cars. According to the guidelines of the Municipal Roads Authority in Warsaw, the place changed its purpose and became a residential zone. Newly planted trees giving shade, a fountain, modern small architecture, illumination - all this created a prestigious public space. The introduction of deciduous trees between compact quarters turned the square into a quiet enclave in the busy urban environment. The presence of trees tames the open space of the square. The main strip of plantings along Bracka Street emphasizes the former historical route.
