All the elements of the new complex of the Polish army museum headquarters were designed to form a captivating narrative of Polish military history. The Southern Building will consist of eight functional blocks, bound by a roof massif, creating one coherent composition. The three largest blocks for the permanent exhibition will chronologically portray the history of the Polish Army. The fourth is to be devoted in the future to an unique collection of oriental weaponry. The block intended for the temporary exhibitions will host special exhibitions and exhibits loaned-out from other museums. For the needs of users, a block with an audiovisual room is also planned, which can be used regardless of the exhibition. The whole is complemented by service, office and technical and warehouse blocks. The spaces between the blocks will serve communication between the rooms and allow visitors to admire the Citadel Park surrounding the Museum.
