Museum of Modern Art and Theatre TR Warsaw

The designed buildings appear as a large-scale structure of expressive walls and spreading roofs. It offers a unique landscape for the emergence of contemporary art in the cityscape. Open, glazed spaces integrate a range of functions related to art, recreation, education and seamlessly connect with the environment. This solution makes it possible to freely expand the program of the museum and theater with open-air - urban exhibitions, educational events, recreation spaces, avant-garde shows and debates on art and culture. TR Warsaw and the Museum of Modern Art are two modern cultural institutions, whose identity is built around an avant-garde, experimental approach to art, dialogue and the mission of promoting high contemporary art in society. The aim of the project is therefore to enable the existence of art in the city space, to integrate it into social life by inspiring debate, offering places for meetings, discussions and contemplation surrounded by a unique, multi-layered tectonic landscape. The proposed architecture has the task — with its expressiveness and uniqueness — to create a framework for these activities, to support, to inspire.
